Most people searching for a REISift alternative are not unhappy with list stacking. They are unhappy with what happens after the stack: hours of dialing, texts that go nowhere, and a pipeline full of owners nobody has called back. Before you switch tools, figure out which of those problems you actually have, because a different CRM fixes some of them and not others.

This guide covers what REISift does well, who it suits, the work it still leaves on your desk, and the alternatives grouped by the job they do. Everything about each product comes from its own website. No prices here; check each vendor's pricing page.

REISift is now DataSift

If you type reisift.io into a browser today, you land on datasift.ai. The app, help center and training site still use reisift addresses, so older tutorials and forum posts still apply. This guide uses both names. When you read reviews or comparison pages, know that "REISift" and "DataSift" describe the same product.

What REISift does well

DataSift describes itself as a real estate CRM and data platform for investors, with one place to manage follow-ups, tasks, appointments and KPIs. The pieces that matter most:

  • List stacking. This is the feature REISift is best known for. Its help center defines a stacked record as a property that sits on more than one list, and the system stacks records automatically when you upload a new list that overlaps an old one. A List Stacking filter lets you pull every property that appears on at least two lists, then layer other filters on top.
  • Clean records. Its owner records feature links properties to the person, company or trust that owns them, so you stop calling the same landlord five times for five houses. Data filters let you slice by tasks, offers, marketing attempts, phone status and property details.
  • List building. SiftMap pulls property lists nationwide, with custom map polygons. A paid add-on unlocks more than 20 distress lists. New data merges into your account and drops straight into skip tracing.
  • Skip tracing. The skip tracing page says it returns up to five phone numbers per owner, emails when available, phone type and connected or disconnected status, with contact data updated over time. Some plans include it and others offer it as an add-on.
  • Pipeline and tasks. SiftLine gives you kanban boards for each phase of your workflow, with permissions per board. Sequences can add cards, assign users and create tasks automatically.
  • Outreach tools. Automated drip sequences can send texts and emails over weeks or months, with delivery limited to 8 AM to 9 PM in the owner's time zone. SiftMail builds and sends direct mail from inside the CRM and logs every piece on the record.
  • Scoring on the top plan. DataSift's AI plan adds 0 to 100 scores that it says rank how likely a property is to sell. Treat any vendor's prediction numbers as claims to test in your own market.

If your data is a mess of CSVs from five vendors, REISift is a strong tool for turning it into something you can work.

Who REISift suits

REISift fits best when:

  • You buy or pull lists from several sources and want them stacked and tied to owners in one place.
  • You already have callers or texters, in-house or virtual, and need a system that tells them who to contact next.
  • You like to build filters and test which list combinations turn into deals.
  • You want mail, texts, tasks and pipeline history in one record.

It fits less well when nobody on your team has hours each week to work the data. A perfectly stacked list still needs a person on the phone.

What REISift still leaves on your desk

REISift handles the data side of the business better than most tools. The work it does not do for you is the human part.

Talking to owners

DataSift's integrations page lists calling and texting through partners such as CallTools, Aircall, ReadyMode, smrtPhone, Kixie and Launch Control. That gives you choice, but it also means another subscription to manage, and someone still has to make the calls. Automated texts start conversations. They do not answer an heir's questions about probate or calm an owner who just got a foreclosure notice.

Qualifying

A reply is not a deal. Before you drive anywhere, your team needs the asking number, the condition, the timeline and the reason for selling. For multifamily or commercial property, add occupancy or the rent roll, NOI or asking price, lease terms and deferred capital work. A CRM can store these answers. It cannot get them out of the owner.

Following up and booking

Owners in distress rarely sell on the first call. Someone has to call back when the owner said to, keep trying numbers that went quiet, and turn "maybe next month" into a set time. An appointment is real when the owner has agreed to a specific time, knows who is coming, and has already answered your qualifying questions.

Compliance

Calling and texting owners has legal rules. The FCC's rule at 47 CFR 64.1200(c) bars telephone solicitations to residential numbers before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. local time and protects numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry. State rules add more. Ask a TCPA attorney how they apply to your outreach.

All-in-one investor CRMs

REsimpli calls itself a real estate investor CRM and says it replaces many separate tools. Its site lists list building, list stacking with duplicate removal, skip tracing, a triple-line dialer, texting, direct mail with QR tracking, seller and buyer websites, and AI tools it says can qualify owners and set appointments. Consider it if your main frustration with REISift is juggling a separate dialer. Read its fair use and AI billing terms before you plan volume.

CRMs built for follow-up and reporting

  • Left Main is a CRM for investors built on Salesforce, aimed at scaling companies. It offers follow-up cadences, signals that flag changes in seller motivation, and team reporting. Calling and texting run through integrations such as smrtPhone, BatchDialer, RingCentral and CallRail.
  • CarrotCRM, formerly InvestorFuse, says plainly that it focuses on inbound sellers and does not try to do list stacking or direct mail. It forces a next step and deadline on every task, ranks your day by priority, and tracks KPIs like time to contract.

These fit teams whose problem is accountability and follow-up, not data. Neither replaces REISift's stacking if you rely on it.

Data platforms with outreach built in

PropertyRadar combines property and owner data, foreclosure tracking, distress and life-event signals, built-in skip tracing and outreach by phone, text, email and mail. Choose a data platform if your real complaint is the list source, not the CRM. Our guides to PropStream alternatives and BatchLeads alternatives cover that side in more depth.

Done-for-you appointment services

The service finds the owners, reaches them, qualifies them and puts the appointment on your calendar. You give up control over list building and filter testing. In return, nobody on your payroll has to dial.

How to choose

Run through these before you sign anything:

  1. Is your problem data or labor? If your records are scattered and duplicated, keep REISift or pick another stacking tool. If your records are fine and nobody calls them, more software will not help.
  2. How many hours of dialing does your team do each week? Count them. That number tells you whether you need a better dialer or fewer dials.
  3. Which seller situations do you work? If you want owners with layered problems, such as code violations on top of unpaid taxes, check where each tool's records come from and how often they refresh. Our guide on how to find motivated sellers covers which public records signal a sale.
  4. Who else gets the same owner? Popular nationwide lists get called by many buyers. Ask any vendor whether you share sellers with other subscribers in your area.
  5. Where do you want to spend your own time? Building filters, dialing or negotiating. Buy help for the part you least want to do.

Where Skipset fits

Skipset sits in the appointment-service column. It finds owners showing distress in public records, including probate, pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, tax liens, municipal liens, sheriff sales, judgments, evictions, code violations and nuisance cases. It reaches them by call, text and email, qualifies them on asking number, condition, timeline and motivation, and books the call or meeting on your calendar. You negotiate and close. Each owner is exclusive to your county, so another desk there does not get the same seller.

Questions

Is REISift the same as DataSift?
Yes. The reisift.io address now redirects to datasift.ai, and the help center and app still run on reisift addresses. The product is the same investor CRM and data platform with list stacking, skip tracing and pipeline boards, sold under the DataSift name.
Does REISift have a built-in dialer?
DataSift's integrations page lists calling through partner dialers such as CallTools, Aircall, ReadyMode, smrtPhone and Kixie, and those tools log activity back to your records. Its automated drip sequences can send texts and emails directly. If you want to dial from inside one tool with no separate subscription, compare it with an all-in-one CRM that includes its own dialer.
What is list stacking in real estate?
List stacking means finding properties that show up on more than one list, such as an owner who is both tax delinquent and cited for code violations. Two or more distress signals on the same property often point to an owner with more reasons to sell. REISift stacks records automatically when you upload a list that overlaps one already in your account.
What is the best REISift alternative?
It depends on the job you want to hand off. If you want the CRM, dialer and data in one place, look at an all-in-one investor CRM. If you run a large acquisitions team, look at CRMs built for heavy follow-up and reporting. If you want owners already qualified and booked on your calendar, look at an appointment-booking service instead of more software.
